Healthy Start Plans

Puppy Healthy Start

Did you know puppies achieve 90% of their growth in their first year of life? With all the growing they do, it’s important to give your puppy a healthy start to life. Horton Animal Hospital Northeast offers a comprehensive preventative package tailored to puppies called “Puppy Healthy Start” that can save you up to 39% in costs compared with a pay-as-you-go approach.

This is a preventative plan, so the package is designed to stop problems from occurring, catch them at the earliest stages or treat them faster. We highly recommend this plan—it gives you and your doctor optimal organization in tracking what your puppy has been treated for—but review all the details below to determine if this plan is right for your puppy.

Included services:

  • Initial or pre-purchase physical
  • Initial fecal check
  • De-worming with Drontal Plus or Pyrantel
  • Vaccinations for DHPP+L4, bordetella and rabies

  • Included supplies:
  • Three months’ supply of heartworm/flea/tick preventative medication (Heartgard/Interceptor/Simparica Trio)
  • Samples of puppy food
  • Notebook to record your pet’s health history
