Position Details
- Role: Experienced Veterinary Receptionist
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
- Schedule: Monday - Friday. Rotating Saturday shifts (7:30 - noon)

Are you passionate about animal welfare and nurturing the human-animal bond? Do you love puppy kisses and kitty face nudges? If so, Horton Animal Hospital Northeast is ready to hire a receptionist to join our front desk team. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from morning to evening, with a rotating Saturday schedule. A love of animals and a customer service background are a great fit for this position.
Our Veterinary Receptionists are the face of our practice. This role plays an important part in our community reputation and in supporting our clients and patients by providing great customer service.
We are a well-established five-doctor hospital with many bells and whistles, including ultrasound, digital radiology, laser therapy, in-house blood machines, and top-of-the-line monitoring equipment. We are known for our Healthy Start Plans that allow the best beginning for puppies and kittens. We take great pride in working with local rescue groups such as Second Chance, Animal Control and Central Missouri Humane Society. We have earned the reputation for “Caring For Pets Through All Stages of Life” and have been voted “Best in Columbia” several times including 2023 and 2024.

How You’ll Contribute
- Managing multiple phone lines
- Booking appointments
- Greeting clients.
- Processing payments
- Assist with pet supply purchases
- Update patient’s charts
- Ensuring that the reception area is clean and comfortable for clients
